In Second Grade today we celebrated Tu Bishvat-the Birthday of the trees!
We started off our day with making our very own fruit salad with all different fruits the children brought into school.
In addition each child decorated their own Tu Bishvat tree using their creativity and labeling the parts of tree in Hebrew!
We than all gathered together for a special Tu Bishvat Festival Our class performed in front of the whole school a song about trees! At the festival, everyone had a chance to taste from all the Shivas Haminim-Seven Fruits that grow in Israel, sing songs and most excitingly, have a piece of the Chocolate Tree Cake!!!!
Be sure to ask your child to sing to theTu Bishvat song they performed!!)
